Lead a team of seven Engineers in supporting a Medical Device Manufacturing Value Stream. Products included No-sting Barrier Films and Durable Barrier Creams. Primary role of team was to introduce new equipment/processes, improve existing equipment/processes, controlling change and investigating quality issues. Leadership principles based on equipping the team to optimise their skill-set and thus collectively delivering results. 17 year career with 3M ended after Loughborough plant closure.

Managed a department producing Pharmaceutical and Medical Products Liquids and Creams Products. This includes direct supervision of 4 operators, production planning as well as technical responsibilities. Delivered excellent schedule adherence whilst overseeing a number of key facility upgrades including replacement of the entire control system and washroom refurbishment. Also included six month secondment as a Shift Supervisor in the equivalent Packaging area.

Worked on a vast range of improvement projects whilst supporting Solid Dose and Liquids & Creams Value streams, some with net benefits in excess £200,000. Implemented innovative Lean processes and lead new equipment introductions.
