Senior Steward of the Food and Farming Education Area at the Hertfordshire County show attracting 30,000+ visitors every year. The F and F area is one of the busiest at the show where it educates and enthrals show visitors to engage them in the debate as to where their food comes from. The area is organised by a team of stewards on the Food and Farming committee of which I chair.

Director and Member of the Committee of Management for the Hertfordshire Agricultural Society which organises the Hertfordshire County Show amongst a wealth of other rural and outdoor events. Finished this role after a society restructure of which i was part of the 4 person restructure team.

Chairman of a council made up from delegates and county chairmen from all over the UK. Experience of the most successful rural youth organisation in the country which offers a multitude of activities, much of which is based around skills, competitions and training. Run democratically, it is steered by the council and its sub groups to provide exactly what the members need. This high level position was an absolute privilege to hold and involved travelling to 99 events, covering 23,000 miles in just one year, representing the organisation and networking to bring new contacts and projects together.

Management of the training requirements of all of the above teams especially in regards of FIAS and security. County chairman of Herts YFC heading up all committees as a small county fed. At this time the county only had 52 members at the start of my term and by the end had more than doubled. Skills- organisation, governance, negotiation, chairmanship, public speaking.
