Took the initiate to identify and understand business and security risks and provided technical oral and written advice to senior managers and operational users on how to counter and manage them.Manager, coach and role model to a team of 12 technical operators.Accountable for the deployment and maintenance of specialised equipment in support of Military Aid to the Civil Authority (MACA) operations; including leading familiarisation visits and presentations to civilian executives of high profile targets. Accounted for and issued Communications Security (COMESEC) material and Protectively Marked Material (PMM) using government protocols (JSP 440 and 490).Trialled new equipment prior to delivering training and roll out in order to ensure security to individuals in high threat environments. Successfully justified the need for extended access to sensitive equipment by allied forces; this directly resulted in protection of life to UK allies.Unit security officer and IT security officer to an organisation of approximately 100 people.

Created, maintained and delivered technical training material, for the MOD’s joint intelligence training establishment. Utilised nationally recognised doctrine such as the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT), which is ISO 9001 compliant.Actively monitored trainers to provide feedback and guidance; conducted internal validation (InVal) to foster an environment of continuous improvement and to gather sufficient evidence to recommend changes to the Executive. Accounted for and issued Communications Security (COMESEC) material and Protectively Marked Material (PMM) using government protocols (JSP 440,490 and the Government Security Classification Policy). Created a business continuity plan to provide incident management guidance.Delivered 4,800 hours of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) training to junior soldiers, as well as managing assessments and student progression. This involved sophisticated coaching and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate trainees effectively to demonstrate sound theoretical and practical knowledge in a priority military area. Proactively identified opportunities to improve assessment strategies and training material by developing an innovative model to register, manage and implement requests for change that drove accountability and transparency, and then managed the changes through their lifecycles. This resulted in a step-change in the number of requests completed and delivered within the team.Promoted a continuous personal and professional development attitude within the organisation by actively promoting learning opportunities to colleagues and trainees and supporting applications.Identified gaps in capability planning and made strategic recommendations to key decision makers. For example, drafted an options paper which successfully resulted in a service level agreement to provide continuity of critical IT infrastructure.
