• Prepare media equipment for checkout; Demonstrate and check-out equipment to faculty, staff, and students; Check-in, test, and restock equipment.• Answer the Learning Technologies Emergency Hotline and assisting callers with the operation of our classroom equipment in emergency situations.• Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs; identify, record and report equipment or facility problems. Stock projection booths with supplies. • General front-desk support, including answering phones, filing, typing, data entry, printing reports, sorting mail, and checking inventory levels.• Distance Education Support: Responsible for the technical operation of audio-visual, computing, and video-conference equipment, including set up and testing of video-conference, video cameras, microphones, audio mixers and media presentation equipment for distance education classes, web archived presentations and video productions. Make sure members of the faculty are comfortable with equipment and have the media tools needed for the presentation. Switch video cameras and audio-visual sources as appropriate. Monitor audio levels, correcting unwanted feedback or echo. Secure facility and materials after presentations. Identify, record and report equipment, software and facility problems. Perform routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. Responsible for good camera shots, clear audio and selection of appropriate images for the viewing audience.
