When my personal and professional journeys collided I learned that being vulnerable was the ONLY way to survive, to succeed. We all have a purpose, a reason to be alive. A lifetime of experience in navigating personal trauma and major depressive disorder helped me find my calling in serving others.

I’m enjoying the privilege of combining my experiences in case management, group homes, and education with passion and a sense of urgency to equip and support those that serve the amazing people of Dallas County through Metrocare Services.

TBRI® Practitioner Training is intended for practitioners who want to learn about TBRI® and use it within their professional capacity (e.g., therapists, caseworkers, foster and adoption care specialists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, counselors, CASA representatives, early childhood & development specialists). This core training experience is designed to prepare practitioners for working with children from hard places and their families. After successful completion of the TBRI® Practitioner Training, all TBRI® Practitioners may train within their organization using the TBRI® Caregiver Training Package.

As a licensed and certified S.A.M.A. facilitator I am dedicated to assisting those that serve children and adults become the best caregivers possible. S.A.M.A. classes that I facilitate are interactive, educational, and thought provoking. Utilizing the Assisting Process developed by Larry Hampton enables service providers to de-escalate crisis situations and reduce incidents of aggression. Protecting yourself and others, containments, and object retrieval training sessions are also part of the available curriculum. I am available to provide SAMA training for individuals and groups by schedule, and provide follow up consultation and training as needed.
