James is now producing at Spier films, a multi-award winning production/finance company, James's credits include The Salvation (2014) starring Mads Mikkelsen, Eva Green, Jeffrey Dean-Morgan , animated feature Khumba (2013) starring Liam Neeson, Steve Buscemi and Laurence Fishbourne, Young Ones (2014) starring Nicholas Hoult, Michael Shannon and Elle Fanning and critically acclaimed Of Good Report (2013) Collectively these titles have been official selection at Cannes, Sundance,TIFF, LFF, DIFF, to name a few and won 7 South African Film and Television Awards including best picture and Director, 5 African Academy Awards, including best picture and best Director along with a string of internationally renowned accolades. James co-founded CineGig in 2011 with the aim to open up the exhibitor space around the world for engaging, exclusive music film content with international artists, accessible to audiences globally.
