Rather than isolating a single molecule, the broad-spectrum activity of propolis arises from the interplay of its diverse chemical components, aligning more closely with the intricate systems of human biology.Similarly, certain mushroom varieties have long been revered for their adaptogenic properties, which help regulate the body's stress response and support immune function. Unlike single-molecule drugs, these natural compounds work through a network of bioactive constituents, including polysaccharides, triterpenoids, and ergosterols, which act in harmony to modulate various physiological processes and they usually achieve this with fewer side effects than conventional drugs.Our primary technology is the extraction of phenolic compounds from crude propolis. We take a waste by-product of the honey industry and transform it into powerful, standardised pharmaceutical grade ingredients. I am the Business Development Manager for a UK based company specialising in tough, rugged mobile phones and tough smartphones. TUFF Phones was established in 2010 and originally began life as a retailer of several different brands of tough mobile phones.In 2014 we began working on ideas around the development of our own range of rugged smartphones. By early 2016, we had settled on our choice of factory and work began on the range, which was successfully launched later that year, with the BBC covering our story as the devices began to hit the UK market.Since then, our phone sales have been growing steadily. Thanks in part to their titanium-aluminium alloy frames, these devices don’t need bulky plastic outers to make them rugged, and so they can take on a sleek appearance more akin to a regular smartphone.TUFF devices are not only durable and look great – they perform superbly too. We now use powerful Sony CMOS camera sensors, Sharp IGZO high resolution screens and powerful top quality processors. All our devices are dual sim, with long lasting battery power (2-3 days), sizeable memory capability and the latest release Android operating software.
