Lead systems engineer for steam turbine auxiliary systems• Drive steam turbine auxiliary cost reduction initiatives resulting in savings of $1.4 million in FY15 • Development of functional specifications and optimization of the STG lube oil system• Challenge existing practices and designs to produce innovative solutions to complex challenges • Prepare vendor specifications for procurement of Steam Turbine Auxiliary Equipment from existing suppliers as well as development of future potential suppliers to expand supply base• Review Customer contracts during proposal process; provide impact to requests and develop cost effective solutions that conform to Customer requirements• Support New Apparatus projects through warranty period providing timely resolution of customer RFIs and PCMs with positive feedback from site and external customers• Create customer transmittals including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, component diagrams and outline drawings for New Apparatus Steam Turbine projects accurately without rework• Component competencies under this function include expert knowledge, design of and specification of the following systems:o STG Lubricating and Lift Oil System including : Skid, Coolers, Throttle valves and Oil System Commissioning and Operationo Steam Turbine Gland Sealing System including: Control Valves, Gland Steam Condenser and System Operationo Steam Turbine Drain System: Control Valveso STG Foundation: Integration of all STG hardware into foundation design this requires coordination from different locations and disciplines.
