About James Herring

Hi, I'm James. I keep profit-driving activities flowing, and your employees and clients happy, by ensuring that the technology you rely on is safe and operating.I've been a professional problem-solver my whole life, starting with troubleshooting and repairing aviation electronics for the U.S. Navy. More recently, I solved people's legal problems as the managing attorney for the law firm I founded, Wielang & Herring. During those years, I was our firm's IT system administrator. I enabled my partner to focus on billable hours without interruption by deploying and managing all of our own IT systems. Over time, I lowered costs and improved our workflow efficiency by continuously monitoring our IT stack and gracefully incorporating newer, better methods and tech. The result was the leanest, most efficient workflow of any law firm in the area. Frankly, I had more fun on that work than practicing law most of the time! I'm now a full-time IT professional, focusing on infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
