Research Fellowship
- U-SURF is a summer program that provides the opportunity to experience interdisciplinary research and hands-on experiments in a university laboratory setting- Operated animal dissection (B6 mouse) and made hundreds of mouse skin samples with microtome, vibratome, and cryostat machines to provide hair follicle data for one of the research papers- Utilized Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Optical Coherence Microscopy (OCM) to obtain the hair follicle data in 3-dimension on the computer and used the H&E staining method to collect physical data- Mastered Python to apply to U-Net deep learning modeling to build image segmentation and image classification models- Built a Golf Swing machine to learn how to work with 3D modeling/printing, electrical wiring, Arduino board, stepper motor, and LabVIEW program- Learned how to set up and operate a cell culture (Cancer cells were used for our experiment)Worked under Professor Woonggyu Jung - https://www.tbl.unist.ac.kr/
