I established Bodhi Tree Pet Care, Inc. in January 2013. After living in the Coachella Valley for the past four years I realized that there was a great need for a volunteer organization that would assist senior citizens and others who are facing challenges in their lives with caring for their pets. Too often pets are surrendered to animal shelters only because the owner of the pet can no longer provide basic pet care and assistance. Our organization provides trained volunteers who provide in-home pet care to these pets thereby allowing the pet and the owner to remain together in their home. James Lance & Associates provides small businesses and individuals with earthquake preparedness training and business continuity planning. We assist business owners and managers in developing a plan for minimizing the impact that a major earthquake or other disaster would have on their business, employees and clients.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency currently has 5,000+ employees. My responsibilities include managing all the aspects of recruitment, classification and comparability for our agency. I supervise two mid-level managers as well as eight analysts. Our recruitment section handles multiple, high volume recruitments throughout the year including transit operator, automotive mechanic, electrical transit systems mechanic, transit fare inspector. Additionally, we recruite for all management, clerical, trade and professional positions within the agency. Our classification section provides support in creating job descriptions for each of our classifications as well as conducts classification studies for all of the positions within the agency. The comparability section provides for payment of all pay issues found with the the 31 collective bargaining agreements that cover our employees. Additionally, the comparability section works with other transit agencies throughout the nation to ensure that our pay and benefits are comparable to others in the transportation industry.

Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources for the San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw, LLP. The San Francisco office supported 50+ attorneys as well as 50+ support staff. Responsiblities included recruiting and training staff, developing and conducting performance appraisals, managing benefits including open enrollment, cafeteria plan, flex spending.

Manager of all aspects of Human Resources and Office Management for a large Seattle based restaurant company. Responsibilities included managing a staff of eight employees in the corporate office. Responsible for all aspects of human resources including processing payroll and payroll taxes, administering benefits including serving as the plan administrator for the medical plan, providing all legally required notification to employees including COBRA, HIPPA and ADA notices, and conducted training for restaurant managers on all areas of human resources within their respective stores. Pagliacci Pizza grew from a company of four locations with 85 employees to a company of 14 locations with 350+employees during my 7 years with the company.
