Based in Tonkin’s Riverland office, I performed civil and structural design including residential and commercial structural design, geotechnical classification, stormwater design, wastewater management and asset management. In addition to design, I was involved in various construction projects including subdivisions and commercial structures as well as business development.

Wellcamp Airport, Queensland

8 week civil engineering internship for Wagners on the site of Brisbane West (Wellcamp) Airport. I worked within various levels of the project, gaining a thorough understanding of the practical operations occurring throughout the site before undertaking a range of civil engineering tasks as a site engineer. My responsibilities included quality control, surveying, cost estimation, scheduling etc. I also gained valuable experience dealing directly with a number of different members of the organisation, including managing directors, senior engineers, safety operators, labourers, and tradesmen as well as sub-contractors.
