Telecoms and specialist mobile data company providing converged solutions to a wide range of companies including The Bank of England, Canada Life, Thomas Pink, Swatch Group, Miele, Bridgestone Motorsport, Vivendi Universal and Saniflo.I set the company up with two colleagues in 1997 and successfully sold it in October 2005 to AIM listed Alternative Networks PLC when the annual turnover was circa £18m.We built the business through a combination of direct sales and a mobile data focused channel in the early days of the Blackberry.I was involved in all aspects of the business from telesales and direct sales at the start to managing the sales team, recruiting a team of mobile data specialists, starting the channel, managing relationships and negotiating with our major suppliers, strategy, pricing and dealing with investors. I was also instrumental along with the Finance Director in producing an information memorandum and in negotiating the sale of the business.
