Director Of Publications
Current• Lead staff in creating publications that meet mission-critical information needs for members and the nursing profession as well as meeting P&L requirements • Create a multi-million-dollar annual budgets, provide report monthly and yearly P&L actuals, reforecast budgets biannually, • Supervise AR reports and bad debt collection• Inform senior leaders with the rationale for new opportunities, including financial forecasts and risk assessment.• Manage the acquisition, development, editing, design and printing of 5 to 10 books per year• Present book proposals/P&Ls and make a publish–don’t publish decision in conjunction with the VP of Business Development and Growth and the marketing team• Negotiate all vendor authors, editors, peer reviewers, freelancers, and vendor contracts in collaboration with the General Counsel.• Work with marketing staff to develop book promotional campaigns • Identify key target audiences and develop metrics to identify process efficiency opportunities.• Establish and drive the overall publication roadmap. Prioritize projects, meet budget commitments, and manage resources with the flexibility to rapidly respond to new market opportunities.• Collaborate with senior leadership the results and/or rationale for new opportunities, including financial forecasts and risk assessment.
