When it comes to spreadsheets, I Excel.A terrible joke but it describes my professional life (and my sense of humour) perfectly. I find it hard when someone asks "So what do you do for a living?" to put into words what I actually do. But it involves spreadsheets. Lots of them.It's not something I set out to work in, I fell into my career like so many others, it just happened. But I am grateful it did, data is so powerful and when used correctly can drive business to success. Data tells us so much about our businesses. It can highlight gaps, it can pinpoint areas of success for expansion. It's key to developing the full picture of your business and I love nothing more than breaking things down to see how they work.When I left university I wanted to work in Marketing but not in the creative side, in the analytics side, from here I have continued to expand my experience of excel, access as well as SQL and VBA based programmes. Through years working in the magazine and event sector, analysing thousands of sets of data across various events, magazines and products I've learnt so much about how people work and function and engage with products. I am now utilising this experience to drive the marketing productivity forward at Logistics UK, The leading trade association for the logistics sector, as we strive to become one of the top 3 business groups in the UK.In my spare time I play cricket for Penshurst Park CC and enjoy walking my dog. I'm also an avid fan of Star Wars, reading sci-fi and listening to and playing music.
