I have been working in Software Support roles for the past 14 years. Over that time I have built a strong ability to analyze a software issue, isolate its cause, and often produce a resolution preventing the issue from escalating to Development. In my last software support role, I consistently led the team in resolving issues during initial contact with the client. It was also shown that I ranked highest when analyzing the number of issues resolved across the entire team. Prior to the transfer to last position I was an escalation point for problem determination and resolution before an issue was passed to Development.I attribute my achievements to my ability to understand how an application works at the programatic level, going deeper than the GUI. When presented with an issue, I'm able to coach a client through the recreation of the issue, accurately documenting the steps required to reproduce the issue. During this process, I often find the issue's cause within the fine details.When I am faced with a client reporting an issue the team has not encountered before, I maintain my trust in the software. I seek to discover the variation in client's environment from the rest of the user community that is creating this new issue, keeping in mind any recent release changes. I am confident that the difference must exist, for without it the issue would be more frequently reported.For those issues that are passed onto development, the level of documentation I provide allows for an issue to be reliably reproduced. This allows for a developer closer to the code, to quickly narrow their focus on resolution of the issue.Due to my experience, management at each of my previous positions have placed me in a mentoring role for new employees.Specialties: Crystal Reports, SQL Querying, Paragon, LDRPS, Microsoft Visual Basic, Excel, Visual Studios .NET
