Hello! My name is James Samson, I am a student at the University of North Texas majoring in Kinesiology, in the Pre-PT Tract. I plan on attending a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program after receiving my bachelor’s degree. My goal after DPT School is to become a successful Physical Therapist, and hopefully run my own practice. I have experience in the physical therapy scene, as I am currently a Rehab Aide at an outpatient clinic, Athletico Physical Therapy. I also did clinical observations in high school at Achieve Therapy, which is also an outpatient clinic. I am currently doing clinical observations at The Belmont at Twin Creeks, an inpatient nursing home, with 50+ hours as of now. I am trying to observe as many different sites to get a feel on how many different physical therapy scenes there are. I have various experiences in the healthcare setting, as I was in the Health Science Academy in high school. As a Rehab Aide, I assist the PT’s, as well as patients on what exercises to perform. I also keep the clinic well organized and clean.
