Senior Enlisted Leader and member of the Command Leadership Triad of forward deployed submarine crew of 160 military personnel permanently forward deployed in Guam. Supervised and mentored 14 Officers, 18 Chief Petty Officers, and 128 Enlisted personnel responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment and systems of a Los Angeles Class fast-attack nuclear powered submarine. Responsible for monitoring crew performance, training and mentoring division and department management teams to efficiently operate and maintain submarine pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems in a diverse environment. Maintained the highest standards of crew performance. Awarded the Battle Efficiency ‘E’ and several other unit awards during this period. Led the ship’s crew through a highly successful change of home port from Hawaii to Guam, mission certification and operations, and two Drydocking Scheduled Restricted Availabilities in Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.

Monitored submarine equipment status, liaison with Program Management Offices for repair parts status, and provided daily critical repair status to Flag Level leadership.Coordinated emergency repairs to USS SAN FRANCISCO following a severe submerged grounding. Led a team comprised of 32 independent organizations responsible for the safe and efficient repair of the nuclear powered fast-attack submarine. Recognized for expert leadership, liaison skills, and work planning and deconfliction throughout the entire ship and shipyard.Received the 2006 Depot Level Maintenance award from the U.S. Navy while Forward Deployed on the submarine tender, USS Frank Cable.Coordinated Sail Work, crane lifts, laydown areas, and resolved inter-organizational conflicts to expedite support and meet schedule deadlines. Planned and led TSRA planning meetings, created milestone charts and POAM for complex refits. Acutely aware of cost, schedule and performance guidelines. Attended daily work meetings onboard Submarines to get feedback and provide input on needed support to complete repairs, installs, and alterations.
