The best way to describe myself to someone for the first time would be..."A passionate and purpose-driven individual wanting to elevate rehabilitation by understanding and addressing the WHOLE human." For as long as I remember, I locked in on opportunities to improve whatever system I was working in or on. Whether it was my first job at 16 years of age or my own businesses, I always worked on optimizing my services and systems so that I could ultimately make my clients and patients more satisfied with their outcomes. I want my people to get the absolute best with every interaction.I began my experiences in healthcare as a massage therapist and physical therapy aide, slowly transitioning from wellness to healthcare. Over time I realized that while I gained skills to address the current populations I was working with, I was also being sucked into a pre-existing system that was rigid and focused on addressing symptoms rather than root causes of the problems. I was frustrated with the "this is the way we do it" approach and it burned me out at a rate that I could not sustain. This led me to develop my own ways of doing things with my businesses and working to merge the best of what I had learned. At the time of this writing, I have established two physical therapy practices (one hybrid and one out of network) and am focusing on how to integrate the best of the entire spectrum of fitness including wellness, rehabilitation, and performance. My purpose is to complement the current healthcare delivery model which focuses on symptom management by revamping the current models and developing systems to address issues before they develop. Along the way, I'll be looking for changer-makers to fulfill this vision and I'm excited for the journey.
