James Ball is a professional, AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) accredited, NPS (Nikon Professional) registered, photographer based in Queensland, Australia.His passion for photography and computers started when he was just 15 years old. The two hobbies grew side by side and before long he was pushing the technology of the day (an Atari 512 STFM) to it’s limits when image manipulation was concerned. The constant increase in computing power and camera technology over the coming years led him to make the leap from ‘serious amateur’ to ‘professional photographer’ in 2008 when he started dlscape pro photography & design.In the last five years he has shot for the likes of celebrity chef Jo Seagar, multinational PGG Wrightson, Christchurch International Airport, Ricoh, LandCorp and Hospitality Association of New Zealand to name a few. Following a recent move to Australia the majority of his work is now around the Brisbane/Gold Coast area, however James is perfectly happy travelling and makes regular trips back to NZ for commercial shoots. To facilitate ease of transport, and increased versatility, he has purposely kept his gear as portable as possible.James is known within the photography community for his technical abilities having come from an image manipulation/multimedia background. He and also works with the likes of the Crusaders rugby team and Canterbury Rugby Union as their off site graphic designer.

Sole graphic designer for the casino. Responsible for designing all adverts, brochures, posters, leaflets and other printed material. Reporting to the Marketing Manager but with dotted lines to all senior staff as job requests could be submitted by all departments.Worked closely with some of the largest print companies in Christchurch to ensure all jobs were completed to the highest of standards and on time.What made this job interesting was the difficult mix of large workloads and time management/prioritisation. Something I'm happy to say I managed to crack, although I think I have quite a few more grey hairs now.
