Manages daily operations of a U.S. Army Recruiting Center including local policy and supplemental guidance development. Ensures operational success by conducting long-range planning based on market analysis and logistics. Improves processes and procedures by maintaining outstanding knowledge of all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Routinely used automated information systems including the Guidance Counselor Resource Center (GCRC), the Army Recruiting Information Support System (ARISS) and Volume II Reports. Derived inspection and audit files from the Battalion Management Reporting System. Ensured that information was correct by reviewing and analyzing data input by others. Identified recruitment trends by analyzing reports produced by automated information systems including all recruitment documents and contracts. Create statistical reports and advised senior leadership at the strategic level on courses of actions to improved efficiency and effectiveness. Assisted in routine inspections and special investigations in 38 recruiting battalions across the United States and military territories.

Interviewed and contracted qualified Army applicants for enlistment. Used advanced counseling techniques to present, counsel, and recommend courses of action on specific enlistment options. Discussed individual goals pertaining to training, education, and promotion opportunities. Utilized extensive technical knowledge of federal regulations, automated systems, and leadership attributes to ensure quality control of all electronic records, enlistment security screenings, and accession procedures.

Recruited qualified applicants for enlistment into the U.S. Army by conducting interviews, providing advice and guidance and counseling prospective enrollees. Promoted Army careers by ascertaining individual aims and goals, personal aptitudes, training opportunities, job satisfaction and stability, advancement opportunities and military life. Evaluated applicants’ occupational, educational and psychological backgrounds to determine programs with specific individual appeal. Explained occupational and organizational structures to applicants, parents, and interested groups. Presented formal and informal talks to high school and college students, service organizations and civic groups. Built community prospect lists by conducting research, cold calling, public contact, and canvassing likely sources including schools, businesses and career counselors.
