It was always a dream of mine, to get into Game Development. The start of this journey began when I was really young and started messing around with a few open-source projects. Going to college seemed to be out of the question as a kid as I came from a fairly poor background. When becoming an adult, I joined the military, as a way to pay for getting an education that would help me get into Game Development. My first job immediately out of college was for a small woman-owned company in the simulation field. I learned a lot about Linux and grew professionally in that position. After a few years there I moved on to learn more about server-based systems in the finance industry, working with a fuel card.I have learned about several different industries all of which are heavily influenced by software development and the methodologies used in software development. In my current and next positions, I am now looking to grown more into that game development engineer that have been my goal since day one.
