This role involved investigation of payment protection insurance complaints (PPI) varying from Credit Cards, Personal Loans and overdrafts. Taking ownership of customer PPI complaints and complex queries through to satisfactory and fair completion within an agreed time frame set by the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman Service. Investigate and ensure the effective resolution of complex PPI queries and complaints, adhering to the relevant security standards, internal and external procedures and legislative requirements. Ensure customers and third parties (Claims Companies) are kept updated at all times, which included written and verbal communication, including completing reports, making a large volume of outbound calls and decision letters to quantify decisions. Contribute to the overall PPI team performance quality and productivity goals whilst achieving agreed individual objectives.Also acting as a subject matter expert in PPI complaints investigation, providing technical expertise and guidance as well as assisting in the development of colleague’s knowledge and skills. Learning what has to be done so the reputation of the bank can be restored after the mistakes that have been made in the past so such mistakes aren’t repeated in the future.
