IT Analyst, tech support, and trainer within the Alberta Government: Child Intervention Case Information Online (CICIO). Worked with stakeholders and community-based agencies to support improved outcomes for vulnerable children, youth and families by leading policy, practice and program development in all areas related to child protection. Recruited to the UK to design and devise, implement, hire and train, start up and manage outdoor focused residential treatment programs for children with trauma and medical diagnosis. Independently brought all daily paperwork, reporting processes and tracking systems on an online and computer format for better tracking, collating and reporting. Designed and developed a crisis intervention model, de escalation skills and physical restraint method alongside Her Majesty’s Prison Service, which was adopted and trained to over 800 residential treatment staff in the UK. Worked with high needs children to improve their behavior, social skills, and self-esteem by implementing a therapeutic milieuTrained Residential treatment staff and Her Majesty’s Prison Service guards on use of physical restraints, crisis and environmental management, de-escalation skills and techniques and safety awareness;Co-designed a de-escalation and physical restraint system used in keeping clients and staff safe in crisis situations.
