I litigate matters relating to virtually all state and federal environmental laws. I have particular experience litigating matters for companies, government bodies and citizens under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, RCRA and EPCRA. I also counsel real estate companies, businesses and citizens on all environmental law matters. I am a LEED® Accredited Professional, having passed the U.S. Green Building Council's examination which demonstrates a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles. I have extensive knowledge regarding climate change, and was quoted in the Wall Street Journal in connection with my visit to Greenland to observe global warming firsthand. I have appeared on an American Bar Association Panels on a variety of environmental issues, and led my Firm's efforts to become the first law firm in the United States to adopt the ABA Model Sustainability Policy and Implementation Guidelines. I have been published in the Illinois Bar Journal, Midwest Real Estate News, BNA's Environmental Reporter, Bloomberg Law and Nation’s Cities Weekly on topics including environmental issues in real estate transactions, trading of pollution rights and RCRA and CERCLA enforcement.Specialties: Litigation and counseling corporations, individuals and citizen groups relating to all environmental laws.
