I am currently pursuing a BA in Accounting and Financial Management at the University of Sheffield, where I am building a strong foundation in key financial principles and analytical skills. With over seven years of academic experience in business, I have developed a passion for finance, especially in management accounting and financial management. I enjoy solving complex financial problems and using data to drive strategic business decisions.Throughout my academic journey, I have refined my ability to work independently and collaboratively. I thrive in environments that challenge me to think critically, manage my time efficiently, and work effectively within a team. My experiences, both in and outside of the classroom, have developed me into a conscientious and adaptable individual who is always looking to improve.Prior to attending the University of Sheffield, I took the initiative to teach myself Excel, which has since become one of my key tools for analysing data and improving performance during my studies. I believe this skill will continue to serve me well in my professional life. This experience reinforced the value of preparation, a principle I apply consistently in both academic and professional settings.I have also gained valuable real-world experience through my work as a Pot Washer at Red Court Community Care Home where I learned the importance of teamwork, patience, and customer service. My role in assisting residents and maintaining an organised environment helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different needs, qualities I am confident will serve me well in the finance industry.Additionally, my involvement in team sports, including playing football, has strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and discipline, all of which I bring to my professional life. I also completed jury service at Lincoln Crown Court, which further refined my decision-making and collaboration skills.As I move forward in my career, I am looking forward to applying my passion for finance, problem-solving, and continuous learning in an innovative, forward-thinking company.
