With sole responsibility for YMCA Training's private commercial national contracts, I was responsible for the largest single team of field-based tutors within the organisation, delivering Functional Skills to around 3,500 learners per year in approximately 750 locations for multi-national retailers. Additionally, a smaller number of vocational tutors delivered full Apprenticeship qualifications in various sectors across England.Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, I was fully autonomous in my responsibility for more than 60 delivery staff, 5 co-ordinators and 3 administrators. Key duties included:- performance management,- all stake-holder, partner and Awarding Body liaison,- programme and resource design, - internal quality assurance and continuous improvement, - data and financial management and reporting, - recruitment, staff training and development, and other HR duties. I was also an integral part of significant periods of large-scale change-management and restructure support for the wider company.

Employed to set-up and grow one of the company's centre’s new “Train 2 Gain” provision, I was responsible for the recruitment and subsequent teaching & assessing of learners to achieve their Apprenticeships (including Key Skills) whilst in the workplace. This included candidates with a range of ages and backgrounds, including employed and non-employed candidates. All training advisers were responsible for meeting qualifications standards, deadlines and targets, and maintaining caseloads through recruitment and active retention.
