I'm passionate about building and leading teams of technology professionals whose mission is to investigate and recover application problems and prevent critical production incidents. Using continuous process improvement, problem analysis, support tool development, and application monitoring, we are always striving to help improve the company's ability to maintain the uninterrupted operation of complex production applications. As a technology manager with software development experience, I know the importance of being able to communicate technical information to all stakeholders. We must work in partnership with people from all areas of the business. By engaging and collaborating with management, Agile product development teams, and other DevOps teams, we work to ensure that the creative products we build provide the business value envisioned. I enjoy working with my peers to create solution strategies that align with business goals. As a team, we implement the changes needed to meet measurable key results for each objective. SRE teams respond to a wide variety of problems requiring a broad range of knowledge and abilities to solve. Building a well-organized team, knowledge management system, and peer-supported environment that provides the structural support engineers need to perform successfully. Sometimes, because of an incident's complexity, customer impact, and time demands, these conditions stress all participants. From primary on-call responders to the incident commander, we all play a role in helping each other.
