Responsible for development and commercialization of silicon-based ink droplet ejectors employed in the current consumer product line of Kodak Easyshare all-in-one printers. This product line is part of a multi-hundred million dollar business winning multiple industry awards for innovation. • Organized from inception the strategy, design, infrastructure, and staff to deliver, from early development through manufacturing, a state-of-the-art silicon MEMS technology-based droplet ejector on a class-leading timescale of less than 3 years • Initiated and executed joint development agreements with vendors and manufacturing partners • Managed design and transfer-to-manufacturing team comprised of a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and technicians • Interfaced with marketing to address technology requirements, implementing technology roadmaps and development plans in support of product requirements

Managed R&D silicon device group which was responsible for the design, fabrication, and characterization of novel printing devices • Principal inventor of the internationally recognized STREAM technology for ultra-high speed commercial printing and patterned coating; it was a major influence in establishing the Eastman Kodak Commercial inkjet strategy • Invented and demonstrated novel low cost thermal inkjet drop-on-demand head

Pioneered research initially in thin film optical materials and upconversion lasers and later in microfluidics • Discovered new method for bending microfluid jets; applied to new inkjet printing method • Invented upconversion thin film material useful as UV/visible waveguide light source • Designed and demonstrated novel prototype frequency-doubled laser
