As the Director of People at Synergy Multi-Academy Trust, I lead the strategic development and implementation of people policies and practices across 15 schools, with the aim of enhancing staff wellbeing, engagement, and performance. I also oversee the delivery of employee benefits, payroll, and HR systems, ensuring compliance and efficiency. I have been in this role since March 2024, after four years as the Human Resources Manager at North Norfolk District Council, where I led a team of HR professionals and supported over 300 employees.I am a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and have a Level 7 Award in Leadership & Management from the ILM, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in HR Management from University Campus Suffolk. I have more than 10 years of experience in HR, with a strong background in employee relations, learning and development, talent management, and organizational change. I have worked in a variety of sectors, including local government, healthcare, retail, hospitality, public sector, and financial services, gaining valuable insights into the different challenges and opportunities facing each industry.
