I have now fully retired but continue to teach, now at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Furman University near Greenville, SC.Prior to relocating to South Carolina, I was the Executive Director of the New Jersey Bike and Walk Coalition, growing non-profit organization in New Jersey, promoting a smarter transportation system and healthier lifestyles through bicycling and walking. I founded this organization in 2009 and served as its first President. My diversified skill set includes project management; teaching; writing, including grant writing; public speaking; and administration.I am a League of American Bicyclists (LAB)-certified Cycling Instructor and a League Coach. In that latter position, I certify additional LAB instructors through multi-day teaching seminars in the eastern and southeastern US.I have had success in building and managing a volunteer-based organization.
