Reality Labs Smart Glasses Team

All of the people I've worked with here are all-round amazing: helpful, positive, inspirational, hard working, knowledgeable and tireless, and will miss Tesla as well as the daily chaos!I joined the chassis team contributing to safety critical brake and steering applications for multiple vehicle platforms. I've been mostly responsible for PCBA design using Altium for schematic capture and layout, LTSpice for circuit simulation and python for test automation. Circuit design included motor control, power, analog and digital circuits. The role also involved a lot of soldering, rework, scoping and bench testing during development. My time on the chassis team also involved some limited integration work, vendor interactions and multi-team collaboration.After transferring to the low voltage team, my focus shifted almost entirely to PCBA design and validation and I have learned a lot from this capable group of engineers.

A&K Robotics is a small, agile and fast paced startup doing some amazing things with robotics and automation. I helped design a generic control and power distribution circuit board for use with multiple robot platforms. Other PCB designs included charging controllers, sensor boards and light drivers/controllers. At Axis/Cypress Controls, I was a part of an ambitious project to bring modern controls and sensors to the stagnant forestry sector, competing with some large entrenched companies. My team and I developed a control system for heavy mobile forestry equipment using CAN bus protocol, C++, efficient and intuitive UI design in QML, and custom electronic hardware designed in KiCAD.

At Ready, I performed electrical consulting for various clients which generally consisted of preparing drawing packages. I was also responsible for creation and delivery of documentation, technical reports, bills of materials, performing general project management, budget tracking , 2D AutoCAD drafting, simulation / system analysis (arcflash), design of industrial electrical distribution / control systems, programming / commissioning of industrial automation controls (SCADA/PLCs), and designing graphical operator interfaces (HMIs). These tasks all complied to latest electrical standards, practices, and codes (NFPA, CEC, etc.)

Customer relations, product research and purchasing, arc flash studies, 3-phase circuit analysis and drafting with AutoCAD.

Power regression, signal testing (I2C, USB), testing automation with Teststand and C# and device thermal analysis.

Project planning and power quality investigation.
