I work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to provide technical engineering services to a variety of industries. In this role I have served as a project engineer tasked with creating electrical system drawings, sourcing parts and solutions for given problems, and producing various customer deliverables. My experience with Treetown Tech also includes business development strategy, including SBIR proposal writing, marketing, process improvement, and project management.

I completed a Ph.D. in the area of uncrewed ship design. My research included the design and construction of small autonomous boats; working with Bluefin Robotics HAUV platform for autonomous ship hull inspection; working with TRI on autonomous car SLAM; and working on design methodologies for improving ship design.

Autonomous Vehicle Research - September 2016 to September 2017Working with ONR and Toyota Research Institute on multiple autonomous vehicle systems, both on land and underwater. Focusing on sensor packages and hardware installation. Environmental and Ship Motion Forecasting - May 2014 to September 2016The development of a real-time multi-ship Environmental and Ship Motion Forecasting System (ESMF) for the US Navy as sponsored by ONR. Contributions to the fabrication and deployment of system components on Military Sealift Command vessels. Performed data analysis and system validation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team across various universities, private corporations, government agencies, and shipyards. Also provided logistical support for various field demonstrations.

Assist in teaching introductory engineering course in underwater remotely operated vehicle design.

I am a student manager of the Michigan League, which contains a hotel, event services, on site catering, 3 fast food style restaurants, and a convenience store. I am directly responsible for the safety, security, and operation of the building while on duty. I work with students and full time staff to keep the facility operating.

Project support in the Initial Design and Naval Architecture department. Supported production in updating and creating various technical drawings. Utilize experience and detail-oriented mindset to support the structures department in various analyses.

Surface Ship Hydromechanics Division, Simulation and Analysis Branch. Model test validation, use of MATLAB for data analysis, technical report generation, examination of ship motions in various sea states, coordination with government contractors.

Collaborating with senior leadership in the Engineering Department to revise ABS rules to ensure coverage of USCG proposed rules. Enhancing skills in technical writing, research, communication, and the classification process for the marine industry.

I work at the Ford Research and Innovation Center in Dearborn, MI as an intern for Ford Research and Advanced Engineering in the Integrated Computational Materials Engineering team.

Dealt with the public on a daily basis performing patron surveillance, first aid, emergency action, and routine maintenance duties. Also trained regularly and passed drills and tests relating to CPR, emergency procedures, and knowledge of medical emergencies. Lead a team of lifeguards during emergencies where supervisor was unavailable. Helped train new lifeguards. Practiced time management, communication, and multitasking. As a swimming instructor, taught all ages, 6 months ­to 60 years, how to swim and be safe in and around water. Taught multiple classes per day and evaluated student performance. Taught both multiple student classes as well as private lessons.

Assisted in research of legislation for county commissioners. Wrote press releases and media advisories relating to community events, committee and board updates, and commissioner news. Worked on content and editing of commissioner newsletters. Assisted in writing speeches and reports. Created presentations for commissioners.
