Studied ocular biomechanics in relation to Glaucoma and other ocular degenerative diseases. Main topics include the study of crimp (waviness) and collagen micro architecture in various parts of the eye. I headed an individual project that studied collagen beam mechanics in the lamina cribrosa associating collagen beam thickness with waviness. I created a novel 3 dimensional physical representation of the lamina cribrosa using 3D printing and AVISO software. In addition I created a holistic digital model of ocular tissues and a novel qualitative experiment to examine stress in uniaxial deformation of various tissues.
