Worldwide new business acquisiton included Freightliner/Daimler, Steelcase Europe, Virgin Mobile, KKE Japan, Intelliquip, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and others. Maintained the highest degrees of integrity and energy while obtaining new clients, satisfying potential "take-private" buyers, and providing guidance to other executive management. In six months, the company was successfully sold to private holders at a 20% premium over the share price at the beginning of my tenure. I remained another 6 months during initial ownership transition. I grew revenues during difficult times for the corporation and industry at-large, instituted and executed large cost-savings plans, assisted new ownership in identifying internal business lines, buyers for those lines, and negotiating their ultimate sale. Most importantly, I maintained strong relationships with clients critical to the financial success of the organization as a viable ongoing concern. Firepond survives today as FPX, the leader in SaaS for CPQ in concert with Salesforce.com and other industry leaders.
