o Responsibilities include reviewing and granting access to General Ledger (GL) Mart, Student Data Mart and Employee Data Mart based on Federated Authorization Forms submitted via PDF and/or Perceptive Content workflow by Pitt IT Security. This workflow was replaced on June 1, 2020 with the Federated Authorization Community in which I provided the necessary input and assistance to the development team.o Process Federated Authorization General Ledger (GL) Mart Central Directory Services (CDS) Group Requests. This includes creating the requested CDS group(s) according to the role in accounts. Additionally, I create the folder structure in Cognos Analytics and copy the appropriate Financial, Balance Sheet, Payroll and/or Research/RPA Reports as specified in the request. Finally, the reports are coded with default parameters and security is placed on the folders and reports for users to access.o Responsible for running the Monthly General Ledger Level reports for the university at the closing of each monthly GL period. I successfully streamlined the process by reducing the execution time that one time took between 24 and 36 hour to a range of 12 to 18 hours.o Responsible for the removal of General Ledger, Student and Employee Mart access based in part on the GL Mart Security Changes report. Confirmation of account termination is required and perform any backups of Cognos folders (if needed) using MetaManager Backup/Restore functionality.o Provide support in Cognos for Responsibility Center (RC) related changes that occur each fiscal year from The Office of the CFO. This may include the creation of new RCs and moving of departments from on RC to another RC. All underlying aspects of a change of this nature I am responsible for updating and work closely with the Financial Data Stewards to coordinate this transition.

The development team created customer election and survey applications tailored to the university audience. Some of the most notable elections that I support are the Homecoming and GSPIA elections which are held in the fall and also the high-profile Faculty Senate, Faculty Assembly and Senate Committees elections in the spring for the University Senate. Also, SGB, ULS and UPB – Faculty Senate and Pitt Law School Student elections. Regarding surveys I facilitate the OTP Chair, Dean and President Evaluations along with the UPB Chair, Dean and President Evaluations for a total of 29. I’ve created the necessary documentation for election chairperson so they can manage the application and updated instructions for voting where needed, because of this we are positioned nicely to have the users handle this eventually as self-serve.
