Currently studying part-time for an MSc In Integrative Psychotherapy, working towards the goal of working with both adults children. With an integrative model that includes a trauma-informed approach, my therapeutic work is adaptable and highly client-focussed.

As a Learning Project Worker, my role was to encourage lifelong learning through the work environment, recruiting and supporting Learning Reps to in turn inspire and support colleages to learn. A government funded project, Learning Reps were recruited in the workplace to look for learning needs, promote learning opportunities and to improve access to education. My role was to recruit new reps, support existing ones, and to offer opportunities to develop the scheme into new workplaces. The importance of continuing learning was an idea spread throughout the workplace not only with publicity materials, but more importantly through inspirational Learning Reps.This role covered the wider Midlands area (from Gloucestershire, to Staffordshire and across to Oxfordshire).

As Student Support Coordinator, my role was to recruit, train and support teams of Student Mentors to look after students living in University and some private accommodation. As a new flagship scheme to support students whilst living at the University of Birmingham, I was the coordinator in the recruitment of students (both undergraduates and post graduates) to live and work in the residences, with the specific role to support the new students as they arrived and throughout the year. I coordinated a team of full time staff to train the new mentors, and then to support them in their role, with practical support (arranging the mentor rota for example), employment support and emotional support - particularly if they had been dealing with emotional issues. It also involved longer term support and welfare campaigns about a variety of topics that might affect the students.The role also required direct support and information to the student residents themselves at various times, for example if it was an issue that the student mentor couldn't deal with for whatever reason.The role also required working closely with other University departments (such as the counselling service, academic departments, Housing Services etc) as well as external stakeholders (such as local mental health services, the police and private landlords etc).

Working as a Senior Hall Tutor at a University Hall of Residence. This involved overseeing both the discipline and pastoral care of students living in a catered Hall. Having responsibility for a specific group of tutees to ensure that they were settling into student life, that they were supported if they had any issues or concerns, and to help the overall running of the residence.

Collecting orders, managing deliveries and monitoring stock levels in a busy Wine/Alcohol Wholesalers, as well as occasional shop work in the Off Licence branches.
