I solve problems. That is why my customers contact me. I’ve helped build a team that takes the services we perform at X-DOT to a higher level. That team needs a leader that relates well to clients, that communicates our company’s capabilities and talents, and that listens to the needs and the concerns that clients have, including the need to operate within financial boundaries. That leader must know how to communicate the client’s needs to the team members to formulate an effective plan.To do these things, the leader must have the experience. I have been in the same position as many of my customers, needing outside expertise to solve problems. I have in the past, and still do now, perform many of the very tasks I asked our team members to accomplish. I believe that a group of people working in a coordinated effort together can achieve more than an individual. Listening is one of the most important components of leadership. Everyone has something to contribute. It is my job to listen to those view points and direct the formulation of the plan. The team members are more eager to work on a goal they helped define.
