Responsible for developing and managing an efficient and effective global physical security and crisis management program for assets, facilities, and personnel in alignment with Physical Security policies, standards, and procedures. Management and oversight of all global physical security related contracts, physical security technology assets and security incidents.Liaison with internal stakeholders and external sources, such as government & law enforcement agencies, to mitigate security risks ethically and effectively to business & its employees.Deliver proactive, actionable recommendations on security risk strategies.Manage & ensure a consistent, common, & adequate approach to physical security governance in line with global physical security policies and standards.Influence Akamai leadership and stakeholders regarding physical security protocols, standards, policy development & compliance.Effectively manage physical security incidents, investigations, & reporting protocols.Deliver and manage an effective response to physical security incidents and/or crises in coordination with leadership.Make case presentations and recommendations to Leadership regarding the continuous improvement in processes, procedures, and innovative solutions as they relate to incident and crisis management.Proactively alert Leadership of incidents and/or geopolitical risks that pose a threat to personnel, assets, or facilities.Implement intelligence reporting processes to include alerting assets, employees, travellers, and senior leadership in conjunction with Physical Security Leadership, the Travel Team, Physical Security Operations Command Centers.Support executive and travel security programs through effective risk & incident monitoring, risk mitigation solutions & incident management.Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders such as Legal, HR, Corporate Communications, Enterprise Security, IT, Information Security, Real Estate & Procurement.

Take full ownership for all operational physical security related activities and asset maintenance for the buildings and geographical area allocated to them;Ensure that the security systems within Akamai premises are operated and maintained to specified SLA‘s and in accordance with regulations;Coordinate all operational security management activity within a specified region and manage the risk and impacts to employees and business units;Management of contracted guard forces across the region, including financial and budget management, training and testing;Ensuring the compliance of Akamai facilities to the Akamai physical security standards;Carrying out site security assessments and working with business units and corporate functions to address compliance findings;Establish and maintain regional relationships with leadership and local office stakeholders;Working with GREWP, business units and other global security colleagues to ensure that appropriate physical security design elements are incorporated into all new offices, office relocations, and office space reconfigurations / consolidations.Responsible for regional project management (e.g., new installations, equipment adjustments, decommissioning) performance and oversight;Providing executive protection support to executives based or travelling in the region;Providing event security for key Akamai events, such as large-scale internal or external functions;Developing and delivering security training to identified employee groups;Working with other global security colleagues to ensure business units are provided with appropriate and necessary intelligence reporting and analysis in relation to both man-made and natural risks to business operations;Carrying out investigations into activity which may pose a threat to Akamai, such as loss or theft of equipment and information, and workplace violence;Incident/Crisis response and management in conjunction with regional and global stakeholders;

Manage and roster four security teams consisting of 20 members of staff across all three Ashurst LLP London sites.Lead and motivate the security team with the goal of achieving the highest possible standards for our client and exceeding the expectations within the contract. Conduct security training, recruitment, staff appraisals and staff disciplinary matters as necessary.Manage the day to day running of all Ashurst LLP’s operational security (Including 19 Global Sites) ensuring standards and policies are maintained.Constantly review and audit security systems, policies and procedures and recommend developments and innovations to senior management.Implement management ideas and processes in the direction of achieving Ashurst LLP’s goals and objectives.Maintain a close relationship with the City of London Police and provide security support and advice to all Ashurst staff and site contractors to encourage a secure and safe working environment.Organise and chair monthly security meetings with Ashurst LLP Senior Management ensuring that Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements are adhered to.Manage contracts and budgets for the provision of fire and security system maintenance and installations.

Ensuring the full and effective operation of the integrated fire, access control, intruder alarm, CCTV, communications, asset management and patrol management systems.Manage the radio communications maintenance and service contract and budget.Responsible for liaising with suppliers and advising senior management with several tendering processes for onsite contracts.Delivering a high standard of training to control room operators and other security staff, analysing and measuring the outcome to ensure that high standards of performance are achieved and maintained.Ensure that all CCTV and Access Control systems, training and procedures comply with current British Standards and Legislation.Assist with the planning and operation of events for corporate sponsors, and VIP / Royal visits whilst liaising with senior management, clients and close protection officers.Maintain a close relationship with the Metropolitan Police and assist them with investigations and evidence gathering.To constantly review and audit the physical and technical operations of the control room and security systems offering advice and innovations to senior Gallery management.Deputise and act as the shift Duty Manager and/or Fire Safety Manager when required ensuring all fire and security procedures are enforced and adhered to effectively across site.

To maintain product management of the access control system by way of recording and investigating all faults reported to the security ID office and to liaise with key personnel, departments and engineers by way of verbal, email or reports.Introduce and implement “conflict resolution” training for 'front line' NHS staff by liaising with tutors, colleges and senior management.Deputise for and act as the Cost Control and Systems Coordinator as and when required for the processing and recording of orders and invoices.Designed and Implemented websites for staff security advice and for staff conflict resolution training information.Developed and implemented security awareness session for all staff and contractors on induction days.
