From receipt of enquiry through to delivery, I am the main point of contact advising customers on which products to buy when, where, why, and how, and facilitating the cross-site movements of products to meet demand. As the Assistant Store Manager I provide a strong source of industry knowledge combined with the highest level of customer service for my customers. I coordinate with the Store Manager to ensure our staff is properly trained on the products and services our company provide while also leading by example with each customer, no matter how big or small the task they require. As a Lead Emergency Responder my duty was to assist in various types of oil spill clean-up activities as needed. This includes deploying, retrieval, and processing of boom and sorbent materials, and the ability to operate equipment in accordance with all policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure safe and productive work experiences. These duties we performed while operating under a strict On-Call Availability to report to the work site location within a 2-hour recall notice, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and on occasion will require work during weekends and holidays and work 14 days or more in the case of an oil spill or weather-related activity. In addition to developing a basic working knowledge of all equipment that is utilized in performing our work, I also had to complete and submit appropriate paperwork and reports (manually and electronically) properly and timely as required including; time records, maintenance and safety reports. These tasks were conducted in small-team environment and required standing, lifting up to 45lbs, the ability to wear the personal protective equipment prescribed by posted signs and written instruction, working in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain or dry environments, as well as in various sea conditions, under all environmental conditions.

As an agent for a global solutions company that specializes in operations management and customizable modern solutions, I am tasked with safely and securely transporting and maintaining a security presence over our clients undisclosed materials, ensuring the highest level of protection and confidentiality from beginning to end of each operation. In addition to physical security and logistics support, I work as a customer support liaison with the client(s) to ensure all their needs are met on demand with care and forethought, often performing additional tasks outside of the scope of the original operation. These operations, both international and domestic, range over various lengths of time from 2 days to 2 weeks with shifts lasting 12 hours to 24 hours.

For my first San Jacinto Maritime Summer Internship I assisted the crew of the M/V Pic as a deckhand. Working 12 hour shifts on a 2-week on/1-week off schedule I primarily spent the internship chipping, grinding, and painting the vessel. I also performed other daily duties such as vessel cleaning, maintenance, mooring and unmooring from the dock, making fast and breaking loose from bunkered vessels, and assisting transferring lubes and fuel to and from the made-up barge. For my second internship, I returned to Martin and was assigned to the offshore tug and barge, the Martin Explorer, working 6-hour interval shifts on a 4-week on/2-week off schedule. While aboard this vessel I primarily assisted the tankermen in the transfer operations, deck work on the barge, and general vessel maintenance on the tug itself.
