    October 2013: Due to our campaigning, the Government announces it's intention to legislate so if a guide dog is attacked or killed, the owner of the attacking dog faces up to 3 years in jail. September 2013: The stand I conceived won the "Best Stand" award at the Liberal Democrat conference for the third yeat in a row. Also engaged with 139 MPs during conference season.September 2013: NFP Parliamentary Monitor survey shows that the lobbying work undertaken by the team I manage at Guide Dogs is sector leading.June 2013: NFP Parliamentary Monitor survey released, containing lots of positive comments from MPs about the work undertaken by my team. "Excellent campaign that engaged constructively with parliamentarians” Conservative MP“Regular high profile events both at Westminster and in constituency” Labour MP“Successful campaign on dog attacks which generated a lot of constituency correspondence” Labour MPMay 2013: Campaign win, with the Queen's Speech containing details that an attack on an assistance dog will be treated as seriously as a dog attacking a person.February 2013: Campaign win, with compulsory microchipping for all dogs in England announced by Defra.     Managing three campaigns at present: Talking Buses (calling for the introduction of audio visual announcements), Streets Ahead (engaging with design professionals and Councillors to ensure the needs of blind and partially sighted people are reflected when streets are altered) and Attacks on Guide Dogs (seven are attacked by other dogs every month).In addition, I am a member of the charities Data Protection Group.In 2011 I will complete the Certificate in Campaigning, (evaluated by NCVO).In the last six months of 2011, more new campaigners participated in online actions for Guide Dogs than at any point in the past.Author of "Cracking Under Pressure" (a report investigating the cost to councils of parking on pavements) and "Forgotten Passengers" (which showed 90% of blind and partially sighted people are forgotten by bus drivers when travelling by bus).Spokesperson for the organisation on campaigning issues.Recent articles published in Public Service Review (October 2011) and Government Gazette (September 2011).I organised and attended all three major party conferences in 2011, including an impromptu appearance on Sky News dressed as a bus conductor.
