This summer I was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to shadow, apprentice, and intern for an office of 12 private practicing attorneys. This experience included the organization and preparation of legal documents, shadowing attorneys in and out of the courtroom, and other various forms of assistance for each attorney. Being able to further my interests in the intersection of psychology and law was an invaluable experience for me and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity. I am ecstatic to continue to this fall providing legal assistance remotely.

This job mainly consists of being a member of the support staff during routine service at a consistently busy restaurant just off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in New Hampshire. Due to this location, the cuisine consists of a large amount of seafood, and due to this the restaurant brings in a large amount of tourists. Leading to interesting conversations with patrons from various backgrounds. Furthering my skills in communication and customer service as well.

This job consists primarily of taking out several hour/2 hour semi-private/private surf lessons a day. Along with lessons are the surf camps we do for children ages 5-15 in which we teach them how to surf and further build their comfortability and experience with surfing as well. Teaching a skill, especially one that requires the student to be vulnerable and willing, has not only helped me to adapt my skills in customer service but methods of psychology as well. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to share the experience of something that I love, and although people are different, the reaction to standing up on your first wave is universal in joy.
