Research Coordinator for the UW Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC). Coordinator for the ADRC's Clinical Core, a longitudinal study that characterizes and follows a cohort of 350+ adults including clinical patients with mild cognitive impairment, early stage Alzheimer's disease, and other dementias. In November 2020 I took on the additional responsibility to serve as coordinator for the Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer's Network-Trials Unit (DIAN-TU) phase III clinical trial.Screened, scheduled, and consented research participants, performed neuropsychological tests to assess memory and thinking, and facilitated their involvement in clinical trials and studies. Maintained research records in REDCap and manage post-visit operations for growing cohort of participants. Created research standard operating procedures and refine existing protocols to suit changing research environment. Collaborated with team to pilot virtual neuropsychological testing and research visits for our site over the phone and through video-conferencing platforms, expanding the geographic reach of the center and promoting accessibility to study participants and the public at large.Obtained and maintained a bank of cerebrospinal fluid, plasma, and serum samples from participants for the development of biomarkers to assist in diagnosis of dementia, following disease progression and treatment response, and identifying persons at risk.Administered neuropsychological test batteries for the Memory Improvement Through Nicotine Dosing (MIND), and GingipAIN Inhibitor for Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease (GAIN) Studies, and trained new research coordinators on neuropsychological testing procedures and instruments.
