Being curious and challenging myself has been a constant theme in my career and life. But it was not always that way.I started as a shy kid, lacking in confidence. However, through the many paths that life has taken me, I have learned to appreciate and embrace life. After finishing university and emerging into the recession of the 1990s, I immediately sought to establish my credentials. Once that was in place, I promised myself that I would reward my hard efforts and worked to be able to travel and immerse myself in new lands and cultures. I adore travel. Learning how other people live and gaining perspective. Ohhh and the food 🤤From a work and career perspective I started with a technical background, moving into the consulting world and software, and then found my love for sales, which came as a surprise as I had never seen myself in that light. I've been fortunate to have the chance to lead some amazing teams and businesses, both here in Australia, and across Asia. 🌏Now I wish to use those skills and experiences and give something back. I have taken much from the brilliant people that I have worked with and want to contribute myself, helping businesses to grow, transform and achieve; invest in people and their potential; and deliver an excellent experience to my customers.I have a passion for leadership, and how anyone can and should be empowered to make a difference. Strongly believing that leadership is the key to unlocking the potential in individuals, teams and organisations; and the profound impact it can have.I'm a self confessed 'lifetime learner' and I'm often looking for ways to get out of my comfort zone. Whether that be relocating to Singapore to take on a new challenging role, or taking up triathlons in my mid-forties.I am excited about what is possible and would love to connect with anyone that shares my interests.
