Argo Liquid Terminal

Serving as the Terminal Manager for the largest for hire liquid storage facility in the Upper Midwest consisting of 221 above ground storage tanks, three (3) marine vessel docks, internal rail system, 45 tanker truck /ISO container loading racks, and three petroleum pipelines (two (2) inbound and one (1) outbound) servicing more than 100 customers..

Chicago Liquid Terminal

• Served as the Terminal Manager for the second largest for hire liquid storage facility in the Upper Midwest consisting of 96 above ground storage tanks, two(2) deep marine vessel docks (with lightering capability).
• Successfully implemented terminal’s commercial and business development plan; resulting in a 50% increase in asset utilization from 50% to 100%
• Successfully conducted an operational turnaround which resulted in a 91% reduction of operational failures in addition to exceeding all internal and external key performance indicators for 7 consecutive quarters
• Implemented budget management controls; resulting in exceeding annual EBITDA forecast by $200,000 in 2010 and $1.6 million in 2011
• Resourced and implemented preventative maintenance program; resulting in a 90% reduction in repeat work and 80% reduction in reactive maintenance
• Developed and implemented terminal’s “Safety” and “Quality” management program focused on the developing a technically competent work force and efficient operational procedures; resulting in 100% reduction in OSHA.

Argo Liquid Terminal

• Served as the Operations Superintendent for the largest liquid terminal in the Upper Midwest consisting of 219 tanks servicing more than 100 customers. Responsible for day to day operations of the terminal; charged.
• Developed and implemented Terminal Work Order and Labor tracking application; resulting in the accurate invoicing of non-standard work to the terminals customers; generating revenue in excess of $40,000 during 1st.
• Implemented Union/Management Project Program which involves first line employees in the design and implementation of expansion and capital construction projects.
• Developed and implemented “Budget Management” application; resulting in accurate forecasting of assigned budgets and the elimination of over budget purchases.
• Successfully implemented Kinder Morgan’s three (3) year training model into a one (1) year (recurring annually) program for the terminal.

Argo Liquid Terminal

• Served as the Assistant Operations Superintendent for the largest liquid terminal in the Upper Midwest consisting of 219 tanks servicing more than 100 customers. Responsible for day to day operations of the main yard.
• Resourced, developed and implemented boiler training and procedures; resulting in increase asset efficiency, reduced employee risk and ensured proper preventative maintenance
• Designed, developed and implemented an “Operations Management” application; resulting in a 40% reduction of administrative tasks and provided real time tracking and reporting of terminal operations
• Developed, resourced and implemented the terminal’s Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) program; received exceeds standard ratings in all areas by the customer and FDA during annual audit.
• Authored and instructed 12 site specific procedures in support of Corporate’s operating procedure rollout of which two (2) were adopted by Corporate as over arching procedures
• Successfully managed the commissioning of seven (7) tanks without delays to customer supply chain and product loss.

YRC Logistics

• Served as the Senior Operation’s Manager for the Samsung’s dedicated warehouse servicing lower Canada, upper Mexico, and all of the United States. Responsible for “Profit and Loss” of an 18.6 million dollar revenue.
• Successfully maintained inventory accuracy above 99.9998% (excess of 700,000 pieces (1200 SKUs) valued at $145 million dollars.)
• Recognized as YRC Logistics’ “Top Management Performer” for the first half of 2008
• Increased outbound and inbound handling capacity through organizational restructuring; resulting in seven (7) consecutive months of record setting shipping and receiving.
• Restructured outbound dock processes and LTL carrier agreements resulting in 40% increase in LTL carrier capacity and a five hour decrease in staging lead time.
• Served as operations lead for the “Red Prarie” (ERP) implementation; managed design, scoping, testing, SOP development, training, support, and implementation.

• Served as the Senior Engineer Company Trainer responsible for preparing, training and mentorship of engineer units and their leaders prior to deploying to combat with special emphasis placed on planning, construction.
• Successfully trained four combat and three construction engineer companies currently conducting reconstruction and counter improvised explosive device operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
• Developed counter improvised explosive device tactics that were adopted by the Army National Training Center and are currently executed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

• Resourced, developed, and managed the engineer construction and combat training program for the Iraq military, graduating over 250 Iraqi soldiers.

• Led Mechanized Engineer Company in BaghdadIraq. Directly responsible for the combat readiness, training, welfare and morale of 105 soldiers and the execution of construction and combat operations. Managed assets valued.
• Rated as # 1 of 30 Captains in the brigade on annual evaluation and recommended for accelerated promotion.
• Resourced, planned, and executed over 300 counter IED missions in Iraq resulting in the reduction of more 100 IEDs and mines in Multi-National Division Baghdad.
