Responsible for a variety of projects related to the daily operations of Caron Transport including creating Power Bi reports, excel model construction for a variety of operational problems, and inventory management.I spearheaded the business analytics and reporting across departments using a combination of PowerBi and Excel. The dashboards and analysis I provided are used by Caron executives to make data-backed decisions across safety, finance, and operations departments. When creating the PowerBi dashboards, I prioritized data pipeline efficiency so that users who are unfamiliar with the data sources and PowerBi functionality could easily access real-time analyses.I also built a variety of Excel-based computer models for multiple business functions, from fuel reporting to cost of revenue analyses. The models aim to automate and standardize important operational investigations. The models I built pull data in automatically from the ERP system, clean it, and then sort it so that the user can streamline their workflows. I created an inventory management system for all the parts associated with installing heavy-duty truck dash cameras. This model creates a log of the inventory position for 15+ unique parts based on the current inventory and parts in shipment. The system ensures that Caron has enough inventory to satisfy their demand based on new truck deliveries and current truck camera failures, all while minimizing the waste associated with holding inventory.

I worked on a team of 5 students as part of a data analytics consulting project for Go Auto RV. The project focused on finding a creative way to manage the inventory across Go Auto's 3 Alberta RV dealerships using both internal and external resources. The business objective of this project was to provide Go Auto with a quantitative, research-backed approach to affirm their ordering quantities and processes. We provided Go Auto with a few deliverables: a market trend analysis of the RV industry in Alberta, internal sales data insights, a categorized forecasting model, and an inventory management model that predicts order quantities based on the forecasting model and market conditions. Through this experience, I learned a variety of technical and soft skills. The largest of which was learning how to manage a project of this scale in a short timeline. Making sure activities were completed on time and communicated with Go Auto RV was an important aspect of this project and gave me a deeper insight into the consulting process.

Worked with a variety of plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and other maintenance workers to ensure that the schools in the Parkland School Division operated safely and efficiently. This demanded creative approaches to problem-solving while adhering to safety regulations and protocols. While working for the division, I learned good communication strategies and how to work effectively with a variety of different people. Understanding the dynamics of a team is crucial to assimilating into a role that promotes the success of a project and makes the work efficient. Prioritization and time management skills were also important lessons I learned at PSD. With 23 schools across 100km of Parkland County, it is important to stay organized and judge which tasks are the most significant at the moment. This allowed the division as a whole to operate safely and prevented some schools from being neglected.

While working at Golf Town, I learned how to provide excellent service and listen to customer needs. This was important for making sure that Golf Town customers found the perfect golf product for their needs.
