Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.I believe strongly in service to my country and community. A second generation Army mustang, I work with transitioning military and am interested in employment opportunities that I can pass on to transitioning military and their family members. This is my "pay it forward."A bit unusual I believe is that all six of my employments came through referral, the Army drafted me, and I hired myself as the eighth and current employer. In my current career my large contracts also came via referral. I'm proud to look back and see that my skills, experience and commitment were what employers were looking for. Some of the achievements that I am particularly proud of over my four careers:- Serve as Maryland's MOAA (Military Officers Association of American) Network Coordinator, a role I have been honored to perform since 2009. - Serve as a Wounded Warrior Mentor and on the Wounded Warrior Program Jobs Committee.- Create and publish Career Fair & Open House listings. Began in 1994, for 24 transitioners. Now received by 70,000+- Being asked to serve as mentor to professionals I have worked with and respect. 20 over my four careers, two currently.- Established three HR functions while with the GE: Huntsville Operations; the Electronic Sales Operation; Information Networks Department.- Led team that recruited and had 1007 engineers on-board in 100 days for a NASA contract.- Designed and co-facilitated two and three-day Career Transition Programs for General Officers, Senior Officers and Senior Enlisted for the ACAP's Surge Team for the team's 5 years.- Facilitated or co-facilitated 1600+ one, two, three and six-day Career Transition Programs, 1982-2006.- Oversaw planning and construction of the first Comprehensive Community Health Center in the continental United States- Daytona Beach, FL. Recruited its Director..- Created my own Board of Directors.
