Evaluated and implemented academic-related technologies. Focused primarily in these two years on building three projects:1. Creation of the Learning Research Lab, a suite of rooms for recording interactions between participants and/or technology utilizing annotating and marking technologies to extract insights from the videos.2. Expansion of HeadsUp, a small-group discussion app developed by my team, to include anyone with a Google login.3. Creation of the Maker Lab, a centrally-located, multidisciplinary space for exploring the power of prototyping and the junction of design, engineering and the arts for problem solving. Served as associate producer of the film, "We Are Makers" as research and educational tool to introduce the lab to campus.

The Horizon Team was appointed by the president of the university to study the forces shaping changes in higher education. Led discussion and feedback groups with faculty, researched various topics related to higher ed, and collated and evaluated reports of academic researchers, suggesting alternate methods of rating scholarly contributions.

Investigated and promoted such emerging and alternative technologies as Google Fusion Tables and QR codes.

Led the group responsible for the academic technology infrastructure of the university. Academic developers were the core of the group but at various times the system administrators and database administrators were also part of the team. 1. Migrated to Google Apps for Education (2007)2. Created mobile portal and apps (NANOtools, Roster, directory, others) for the mobile learning initiative (2008)3. Led the group that did the technical implementation of an integrated campus-wide blogging system. 4. Created HeadsUp mobile/web app for small-group discussions (2009-14).

Led the group that created the first comprehensive academic infrastructure that included my.acu.edu, single-signon system, dropbox/class folder system (homework submission), and the student help desk. Installed and integrated several learning management systems (WebCT, Web Course in a Box, Blackboard). Integrated the original perl-based version with the administrative system and our homegrown SSO.2. Purchased the first web content management system to expand the university web presence and worked with the university publishing department on design and content.3. Researched and implemented automated print management for students.4. Automated the creation of academic accounts on matriculation to the university.

Co-founded one of the early Internet service providers in our city offering dial-up and business services. served as the sysadmin during startup, and on the board for three years.

First director of the Adams Center, created to explore the growing intersection of technology and teaching and learning. The center included curriculum development, distance learning technologies, academic computing, and faculty scholars in residence.

Introduced faculty to teaching and learning tools using technology. Worked to spread such technologies as unified email to the campus.
