My role as a Recovery Practitioner focuses on providing the opportunity to suppor prisoners with a background of substance misuse history. I support and guide them during their recovery whether it be the first time they are abstinent or further along in their journey. Throughout my life I have been fortunate to be apart of schemes and organisations which have developed the foundations of my perspective on life. These are: - Debating Differences (UCLAN and HMP Kirkham)- Samaritans - Maher Ashram (India)- Habitat for Humanity (Sri Lanka)The skills that I have gained over the years has made me a well-rounded individual, who is driven to succeed, but to also enjoy the work I do wherever I am. Being a Recovery Practitioner, my underlying goal is to provide knowledge and support to those who need and want it. I live this truth each and every day.
