About James Morin

Joining the Crave team is the exciting result and culmination of over a decade of sales and operations experience and a personal commitment to local entrepreneurial and business development.My early professional experience ranges from a Fortune 500 Medical Device company, to a startup specialty pharmaceutical company that raised $60M in fundraising and sold for $200M in 2016. After the sale, I grew my hair out, surfed, hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro, and jumped headfirst into a passion project as co-owner of a startup outdoor brand called Flowfold. While there I grew revenue from the thousands to the millions and expanded Flowfold’s global footprint into international markets including Europe, Japan, and South Korea. When the pandemic struck in early 2020, I helped the team pivot and lead the transition to make over 500,000 face shields to fight COVID_19 and the ongoing PPE shortage.Specifically, my roles have encompassed nearly every aspect of sales and operations, from inside sales and field sales, to sales analytics, to full management of all commercial operations. As Chief Strategy Officer of Crave Retail, I’ll lead the team through future fundraising, customer expansion, enterprise sales management, and product development. Crave Retail is experiencing exciting growth and market penetration, and as CSO and acting COO, I plan to leverage this prior experience to effect change and drive market penetration, operational efficiency and sales growth.I have always embraced a personal commitment to giving back and supporting local entrepreneurs through community initiatives like Maine Startup and Create Week and the UMaine Business Challenge. As a recent transplant to the Austin startup scene, I welcome any and all connections that will help me contribute to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
